BOSTON ROAD RUNNERS
SKILLS
Social Media, Digital Media, Branding, Copywriting, Design
After the COVID-19 pandemic forced everyone inside in 2020, the Boston Road Runners (BRR) saw a severe decay in both online and in-person community presence. I volunteered to join the group as a Brand Ambassador in 2023. Eager to help expand the club’s reach, I redesigned some of the club’s digital branding and marketing for their annual and weekly events.
After a few successful events and a growing community of runners attending the club’s weekly Saturday Runs, I eventually joined the BRR team as a Social Media and Marketing Intern at the beginning of 2024. There, I revamped BRR’s digital presence by developing 500+ social, marketing, and branding materials, and assisted with growing the club through my continued leadership via BRR’s weekly runs and ongoing events.
Today, I continue to help the team as a Running Lead, Brand Ambassador, and Events Coordinator.
Projects
TACO RELAY SERIES
As part of our initiative to create new, exciting and unique events in the city of Boston that set us apart from other run clubs in this city, the Taco Relay series was born. The first of its kind, the Taco Relay involves teams of four, all of whom will compete to see who can best pass their taco baton.
This event started as a collaboration with another local run club. As one of the Marketing and Event Coordinators for this event, I built and managed the registration website for our event via Movemint, and designed unique social media posters and team bibs for each event in the series. I was also a liaison between event sponsors and vendors, including Redbull and Asics Running.
WOMEN’S 10 MILER & 5K 2026
I was a Co-Race Director and Events Coordinator for the 2026 Women’s 10 Miler & 5k.
I coordinated event sponsorships with Dick’s Sporting Goods, Goodr, Gu, Wellness in Motion, Two Toned Fitness, and other major brands and local vendors to guarantee event success.
I recruited and organized event volunteers, designed race kit and promotional marketing materials, and worked behind the scenes to make this one of the most exciting and inclusive events of its kind for women in the city of Boston.
Boston Road Runners is a proud sponsor of the AAPI5K, an event that highlights and supports the Asian American and Pacific Islander communities during AAPI Month.
I redesigned the logo for the event, created a branding guide and social media calendar for distributors and participating charities, and developed marketing and event materials (including banners, bibs, t-shirt designs, and tents) for the 2024 AAPI 5K races taking place in six cities across the U.S.
AAPI 5K 2024
With the goal of continuing to recognize the diverse communities of the Boston area, Boston Road Runners made the decision to make the Hispanic and Latino 5k an annual event to be hosted during Hispanic and Latino Heritage Month. While I had assisted with the creation of the materials for the event’s first rendition, I created a new logo, refreshed branding guide and new marketing and event materials (including t-shirts, bibs, banners, tents, flyers, and social media posts) to be used during the 2024 and 2025 editions of the event.
HISPANIC & LATINO 5K
As another annual event hosted by the Boston Road Runners, the Turkey Trot (a beloved event for families that happens right before Thanksgiving every year) also needed refreshed marketing materials for its 2024 edition.
I designed an updated logo, t-shirt, bib, and various promotional posts for social media use.

SKILLS
Social Media, Media Management, Design, Branding
After joining the Boston Road Runners (BRR) run club in 2023, I discovered that the club was having trouble with their brand marketing. When the COVID-19 pandemic forced everyone inside, the club saw a severe decline in runner attendance and community presence.
I volunteered as a run club Brand Ambassador with the goal of leading weekly runs and becoming one of the faces to represent the group online and offline. When the opportunity arose, I took initiative to create marketing materials for the run club to expand their social media presence. Over time, I also became one of the club’s Event Coordinators, helping design race kit materials, promotional content, and managing logistics for the club’s regular and semi-regular monthly and annual events.
